After carefully examining all the songs written by Taylor Swift herself, this AI learned her style and wrote a song of its own, but unfortunately it was still too immature.
When AI tries to write music in Taylor Swift’s style
Recently, scientists conducted an extremely interesting experiment: Let artificial intelligence (AI) write lyrics in the style of “country music princess” Taylor Swift. To put it simply, the entire lyric composition process will be the responsibility of the computer, without any human intervention.
Before coming to the official results of this experiment, let’s take part in a small challenge as follows: Below are 8 lyrics, of which 4 were composed by the above AI, the remaining 4 were written in the exact style that Taylor Swift often uses in her music. Can you, especially die-hard fans of this female singer, recognize which is the product of a machine?

Which of these 8 AI creations is the best?
The AI did a good job, but it wasn’t good enough
Back to the experiment, the scientists selected the best AI-created lyrics to synthesize into a complete song. The title of this song is “The Last Word (Whoa, Whoa-Ah-Oh)” and includes lyrics that are quite similar to Taylor Swift’s style, but sometimes interspersed with nonsense sentences.

The complete song composed by AI in Taylor Swift style, looks quite professional, right?
If we just glance at this lyric, we can be completely fooled into thinking that this is a real song by Taylor. However, if we look closely, and if we have a good English vocabulary, there will be some sentences that make no sense at all, even have basic grammar errors.
At this point, you probably have the answer to the challenge above. The AI-composed lyrics include sentences 1, 3, 7 and 8. Of which, the two sentences “We’re starry-eyed hipsters and wanna-be players” and “I wore your tee in the morning and love at night” seem to exude the usual Taylor Swift aura. However, the remaining two sentences, “She’s there always, like Jesus” and “I wore your tee in the morning and love at night” are completely unrelated.

AI is pretty good, but it’s still a long way from her level!
As a result, scientists have come to the final conclusion: AI is good, but it’s not enough. If Taylor Swift wants her next song to continue to be a big hit, she’d better not trust machines. Currently, Taylor has not made any official comments about this interesting experiment.
What did AI have to do to release this “lifetime” song?
To conduct their experiment, scientists “loaded” a database of all the songs personally composed by Taylor Swift into a neural network system of this AI. To help readers visualize, the neural network will play the same role as the human brain and can “learn” new skills by analyzing huge amounts of input data.
With Taylor Swift’s songs as a “capital”, the AI will analyze the song structure, the frequency of using phrases to form the ability to compose in the singer’s style. After that, it wrote up to 50 different songs, and the best product is the above-mentioned “The Last Word”.

AI has been “examining” all the songs composed by Taylor Swift very carefully to create its own work.
Although AI has not been able to completely succeed in the field of music composition, it cannot be denied that the explosive development of this technology in recent years. Experts even predict that AI will become more and more complex and create a greater impact on our lives.
The only regret is that no one has composed music for the song “The Last Word” composed by AI. Who knows, maybe this song will create a fever (in a negative or positive sense, as yet unknown) among young people?
