Justin Bieber and wife Hailey Bieber are thinking about moving out of the U.S. to escape the Hollywood spotlight, a source exclusively tells Life & Style.
“Justin couldn’t wait to live in California when he was a kid. He moved here when he was 13, but a lot has happened to him since those early days,” the insider says. “It’s no secret he’s been through a lot, and now that he’s a husband and father and has figured out that fame isn’t what he expected, he and Hailey are considering leaving the U.S.”
The source adds that Justin, 31, “especially wants to get away,” but Hailey, 28, has been supporting him and “of course is on board.”
“She’d travel back and forth for work projects, but it’s Justin who really wants to settle down and create a safe home environment for [their son] Jack and the other children they plan on having,” the insider continues. “They don’t want their kids growing up in Los Angeles or New York. They like how someone like George Clooney, who has a wife and kids, lives his life out of the spotlight in Italy.”
Hailey and Justin tied the knot in 2018, and they welcomed baby Jack Blues Bieber in August 2024. Despite expanding their family over the summer, the couple have faced countless rumors about marital troubles in recent months, which the Rhode founder has adamantly denied.
“People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one,” she told W Magazine in July 2024. “‘Oh, they’re falling apart. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy.”
According to the source, the “number one factor” in why the “Baby” singer wants to move away is his “mental health,” which he has struggled with for years.

“The intense scrutiny he and his family receive doesn’t help,” the insider says. “Justin tries to avoid all the chatter about his private life, but it’s impossible at times. And unfortunately, it does affect him. It actually makes his health issues worse. Justin really wants a fresh start.”
As for where the couple would go if and when they make their big move, the insider concludes, “I don’t know their exact plans, but moving to Europe is on the table. Even their friends say there’s no doubt that it would be beneficial for Justin and his family.”
Justin seemingly hinted that he was struggling mentally when he shared a message about feeling “unworthy” on his Instagram Stories on Thursday, March 13.
“People told me my whole life, ‘Wow Justin, u deserve that’ and I personally have always felt unworthy,” he wrote. “Like I was a fraud.”
The “Peaches” hitmaker continued, “Like when people told me I deserve something, it made me feel sneaky, like, damn if they only knew my thoughts. How judgmental I am, how selfish I really am. They wouldn’t be saying this.”
Justin then reminded his followers that they weren’t alone.
I say all this to say if you feel sneaky, welcome to the club,” he wrote, as the post was set to “Sneaky Sneaky” by Gold Tiger. “I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days.”
Fans have recently expressed concern about Justin’s mental and physical well-being due to the Canada-born singer appearing gaunt and being photographed smoking from a bong. Rumors circulated that he was allegedly using hard drugs, but his rep told TMZ in February that this was “absolutely not true,” adding that the allegations were “exhausting and painful.”
Justin’s rep added that speculation about the musician’s mental health “shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.” He noted that this past year has been “transformative” for Justin, who “ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.”
Though Justin’s rep said he’s doing well, a source exclusively told Life & Style on Wednesday, March 12, that his recent behavior has taken a “toll on Hailey.”
“He goes through periods where he isolates, then periods where he’s active and will spend time with friends. Justin can also have pretty intense low periods,” the insider said, later adding, “Justin says she’s the person he leans on most. That’s not an easy position to be in, especially while trying to balance new motherhood and her career. It’s hard for her to ask for help from Justin, so she ends up shouldering most of this on her own.”
