The Eagles may have lost to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, but over the weekend Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts logged a big W against Kansas City kicker Harrison Butker.
Typically, kickers don’t get as much attention as Butker has recently. But the Georgia native found his way into the spotlight last week during a commencement speech at Benedictine College where he made his stance on women chasing careers known — they should. embrace being “homemakers,” he said in his speech.

While there was a sharp reprimand, the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Hurts, responded to the comments he made by the player who ended his Super Bowl aspirations at the time in an event for the Women’s Football Festival Eagles,
“This is what we want to do with respect for women not alone in football, but in all aspects of life. We all understand that women are the angular stone of all. ”
It was a moment to remember, despite the comments made by Kansas City Chiefs player Harrison Butker, who provoked a generalized debate. During a speech at Benedictine College on May 11, Butker discussed various topics, including his opinions on women’s stories, where he raised controversy. I was grateful for the adoption of the home paper, which was described as “the most important title of all.”
Butker declared: “My hope is Isabelle’s creation that her life really comes when she leaves her father as a wife and mother. Is before us as a man who is by his compromise with our family. Is agradecido by his talents with those who are blessed by him God, it is crucial to recognize that I am able to thank you for Isabelle, who has fully accepted her essential message at home.
Hurts’ defense of respect for women contrasted with Butker’s traditional opinions, detaching a more expansive conversation about the roles of gender and respect within society.
