In a recent interview with Ethan Dometrius, Poison frontman Bret Michaels revealed exciting plans for the legendary rock band’s return to the road in 2026 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their debut album, Look What The Cat Dragged In. Michaels shared some personal insights on the band’s upcoming anniversary tour and the high-energy performances fans can expect.
“So here’s the deal,” Michaels began. “I go through ’25, and we’re doing a bunch of these big festivals [with my solo band]… So I’m doing a bunch of those. And then in 2026, C.C. [DeVille, guitarist], Bobby [Dall, bassist], Rikki [Rockett, drummer], and I, we’re here because of each other, having each other’s backs from the beginning, through the middle, and right now. It’ll be four years since we’ve toured, since The Stadium Tour, and we’re hoping to make this 40 awesome dates and just putting every ounce of energy on that stage, bringing an absolute party.”

As Poison prepares for their monumental 40th-anniversary celebration, Michaels reflected on the mindset the band brings to their live performances. “Poison just goes out there. And I say this, that stadium tour, I was so grateful to be on it. I just hit that thrust, and I couldn’t stop… I told them, I said, ‘I can’t stop smiling right now. It’s ridiculous.’ We just go out there, we play real live music. We don’t mess around. We give it thrills, frills, and good times.”
When discussing C.C. DeVille’s talents, Michaels didn’t hold back. “I kid you not, and I get it, Poison’s had some good parties, some highs and lows — that’s what you go through as a human being and as a musician. But C.C. and Bobby and Rikki, and I like to put myself in there, we grew up just playing real live music, and C.C. can play; that guy can play… And C.C. up there, his tribute [on The Stadium Tour] to Eddie [Van Halen], who was a friend and he loved, I thought it was not only engaging but it was really sincere. He wasn’t doing it just to throw it away; he really meant it.”
As Poison gears up for their highly anticipated 2026 tour, fans can expect a celebration filled with high-energy performances, sincere tributes, and the rock and roll spirit that made the band iconic. After nearly four years without a major tour, Michaels and the band are more excited than ever to hit the stage and deliver a show fans will never forget.
