Beyoncé is doing her part to help those who have been affected by the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires. On Sunday, the singer pledged to donate $2.5 million towards fire relief efforts on behalf of her BeyGOOD foundation with the launch of the BeyGOOD L.A. Fire Relief Fund.
Announcing the news on her charity’s Instagram page, the singer wrote, “Los Angeles we stand with you. 🫶🏽 BeyGOOD is taking action by announcing the LA Fire Relief Fund with a donation of 2.5 million dollars.” Beyoncé added, “The fund is earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires.”
The Grammy-winner then urged her fans to visit the BeyGOOD website to show their support, as well as to learn more about her nonprofit organization, which she founded in 2013 to assist people with economic disparities and provide relief resources and educational scholarships worldwide.

Beyoncé joins a long list of celebrities taking action to help with the fire relief efforts in Southern California. While some celebrities like Tika Sumpter and Halle Berry have donated their closets, others have provided financial support—including Jamie Lee Curtis who donated $1 million and Eva Longoria who gave $50,000 to the organization This Is About Humanity.

Meanwhile, Paris Hilton —who lost her Malibu home to the fires—made a “personal contribution” of $100,000 and promised to match additional dollars raised to $100,000 more to assist others in need.
