Có thể là hình ảnh về 1 người và râuDid I just find a loophole in claiming Henry Cavill as our own?

New Jersey is known to be the birthplace of many famous actors and actresses.

We get to brag that Jack Nicholson, Meryl Streep, Joe Pesci, Bruce Willis, Peter Dinklage, and many, many more once called (or still call) New Jersey their home.

Recently, I stumbled across an interview with Henry Cavill on The Graham Norton Show, a very popular British late-night talk show. In the interview, Henry Cavill mentioned, “…Back home in Jersey…”

My ears instantly perked up.

Like all respectable New Jerseyans, I also lovingly refer to New Jersey as Jersey from time to time.

There are many American actors who were born overseas, could Henry Cavill have been born in New Jersey, but was raised in the UK?

Unfortunately, no.

Henry Cavill was not born in the great Garden State, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a Jersey boy.

The Man of Steel actor was born in St. Helier, Jersey, an island country off the coast of France and described as a “self-governing British Crown Dependency.”

St. Helier is the capital of Jersey and is a seaside town. So, in theory, you can say Henry Cavill is from the Jersey Shore.

I like the sound of that.

I thought Jersey was a part of the United Kingdom, but in fact, it is not.

When I was in high school, visiting St. Augustine, Florida, I met someone from Jersey. There was a sense of comradery with us both being from “Jersey.”

With that experience in mind, I feel a bit more connected to the Enola Holmes actor, with both of us being from the “Jersey Shore.”
