The LA Dodgers superstar had set a new standard of $700 million, with an annual average value of $46 million, and it’s been the benchmark since.

Now, Juan Soto could command a deal that’s stretched to 12–13 years, which means it raises his contract value to a historic territory. Curry mentions, “When you start to think about what that means in terms of years, it’s a 12-13 year deal; you’re creeping up into the $600 million territory.” Well, it seems like the Yanks are very much still in the game.
