It sounds like a solid theory, especially because how else would Taylor have covered up a chipped front tooth so easily? Of course, she could also be licking her teeth to make sure she doesn’t have that trademark red lipstick all over her chompers.

One Redditor speculated that Taylor is able to do that “teeth showing non smile thing” because her “mouth naturally is open.” It’s part of her standard red carpet appearance, and tons of photos show a non-smiling Taylor still showing her pearly whites.

She even swallowed a bug, amid other on-stage upsets during her Eras tour, possibly because of that mouth-open thing.

It’s that “naturally open” part that gives fans pause, though. Redditors also suggested that it’s possible Taylor has an overbite, which is tougher to correct or cover up than a chipped tooth.

Though she can clearly afford top-notch dental care, fans can only hope that if Taylor does have an overbite, she’s aware of it and takes steps to deal with it before it causes other problems — like jaw pain, tooth decay, and gum disease.
