After months of saving receipts, Drake’s legion of devoted followers finally had their chance.This past weekend in Vancouver, Canada, there was a “Rumble in the Jungle” between fans of Rick Ross and Drake. The out-of-town rival showed up at the Ignite Music Festival accompanied by a few members of his entourage, including DJ Sam Sneak, his manager, a few pals, and two bodyguards, as reported by TMZ. The origins of the cоnflict were not entirely clear when the initial report was made. Presumably, it was because Ross had requested that the DJ play “Not Like Us,” Kendrick Lamar’s diss track to Drake. Because of that, The Boy’s supporters became enraged, and a violent altercation ensued, resulting in the brutal beating of Ross’s entourage.

As it turns out, the rumors were apparently correct. That, along with the internet disses of the “Champagne Moments” MC, was referenced by those close to the incident. During the height of their figҺt, Rick Ross relentlessly attacked Drake for weeks. No social media post mentioning the Canadian superstar ever escaped Rozay’s comment section, where he veered from calling him “cupcake Drake” to “BBL Drizzy” and even questioned his true heritage. People back home will not tolerate defamation, particularly when it occurs on their soil, regardless of how easily the latter lost to K-Dot.

But Rozay has obviously been laughing it off and taking it in stride. “I was under the impression that they were bottle boys, ha!” Was a blast in Vancouver; see you later. Also, Drake liked a post from a Canadian hip-hop news account that made fun of the fans who were battling it out with his opponent, so he isn’t entirely blameless. On top of that, he and Ross’s ex-girlfriend Tia Kemp have been engaging in internet gassing. “Two can play at that game,” The Boy seemed to be saying to his adversary.
