Redman Shouts Out Eminem on New Album “Muddy Waters Too”

On his long-awaited album “Muddy Waters Too”, Redman delivers a sharp nod to Eminem, sparking excitement among fans of both legends.

Redman’s “Muddy Waters Too” — a sequel to his 1996 classic — arrived as a Christmas gift to fans more than a decade after the rapper first teased its release. One of the standout moments on the album is the track “Dynomite”, where Redman name-drops Eminem in his trademark braggadocious style:

Brick City militant
J Dilla diligent
Blackin’ out like Eminem
These kids love my riddle and I’m back.

The reference is both a nod to Eminem’s intensity and a reminder of the mutual admiration between the two. Produced by Redman and featuring Sheek Louch, “Dynomite” is one of many tracks on “Muddy Waters Too” that showcase Redman’s bold lyricism and ability to keep things fresh.

This is not the first time Redman has name-dropped Eminem in his music. On “The Heaven Experience EP” that Royce da 5’9 released in 2023, Redman delivered another clever shout-out on the track “Royce & Reggie”:
