Recalling what Trent Alexander-Arnold said about Barca in 2020 amid transfer links
Barcelona have been keeping a close eye on Trent Alexander-Arnold, who will be a free agent come June 2025.
Starting in January, the Liverpool right-back will be open to negotiate with other clubs and potentially agree to preliminary terms with them.
It’s not just the Catalans who are interested, though – a host of top clubs, including Real Madrid, are lining up for the English star’s signature.
However, Trent already has a favourite.
In a candid interview with GQ UK a couple of years ago, he revealed that he has a soft spot for Barca:
“My favourite team besides Liverpool? Would be Barca. I feel they have the same values and beliefs as Liverpool and likes to play players from the academy.
“I grew up watching Leo Messi and that great Barcelona team with Iniesta and Xavi.”
