Pedri reveals how Hansi Flick has changed Barca since replacing Xavi

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Pedri has revealed how Hansi Flick has transformed Barcelona since replacing Xavi as head coach, starting with boosting the team’s training Intensity.

“At the club, we work much more than before. I think that the physical trainers who have come in are doing us very well. We worked very hard and it shows in the game,” Pedri said.

Flick has implemented a more rigorous training regimen, bringing in new physical trainers to help the squad reach peak fitness. Pedri noted that the increased workload has paid dividends on the pitch.

Now Barca are able to sustain their performance throughout the entire match. Under Flick, the team no longer experiences a dip in energy levels towards the end of games.

“The team does not drop after the 70th or 80th minute, but rather maintains its physical level,” Pedri adds.

At the moment, there is no faulting Flick. His team has made a strong start to the season, winning all four matches so far.

Besides the wins, the team looks more physically prepared and mentally resilient under their new manager. Barca will be hoping to win something this term after finishing last season trophyless.
