LeBron James seems to have made up his mind. The billionaire NBA legend has a wide taste in music and a varied group of rappers as his favorites. Two of them had been in the headlines for their very public feud. You would have understood by now where we are going with this. It has only been a month since the viral battle between Lamar and Drake came to a halt. Bron’s name had been dragged in the discussion surrounding their back-and-forth diss tracks. When the Laker had once commented, fans took it as a sign.

And right on cue, the ‘L Train’ finds himself, once again, in the midst of the two. Lamar held his “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends” concert in Inglewood, California, on Wednesday. He held the concert in recognition of Juneteenth. Moving to the groove among the massive crowd was none other than LeBron James. As he was spotted, the news spread like wildfire.

You can imagine what the immediate response was. The Pulitzer Prize for Music winner had, unsurprisingly, included a few of his diss tracks aimed at Drake in the concert. During their highly publicized feud, Drake and Lamar released nine tracks over the course of four weeks or less! Suffice it to say that their beef was up there with some of the most noteworthy affronts like Not Likes Us, the Heart Part 6, Meet the Grahams, Family Matters, and a lot more. LeBron James’ appearance at Lamar’s concert fuels a lot of speculation. However, the Laker has never really taken a side. He’s spoken only once about the rapper duo’s whole beef on X, quoting, “Nothing like 2 heavyweights doing What They Do Best!” That has now led many to question an old connection.

Will LeBron James and Drake’s relationship and partnership be affected by the King’s latest stunt?

Bron was the earliest supporter of the Mexican tequila brand Lobos 1707. The exclusive, high-quality tequila and mezcal brand debuted to great reception in the US, thanks to the backup of the all-time leading scorer. And when they decided to take it international, who did James call on for assistance? Given that their target was Canada, he hit up the country’s rap phenom, Drake. The man in question was glad to be of help.

The record 29 Billboard Music Award winner had often displayed a close friendship with LeBron James. He has even gone to the extent of mentioning him in numerous tracks. Last year, the rapper even gave LeBron James a shoutout during his concert and thanked him for his undying support, especially in the early days. “He came all the way to Toronto, Canada to support me, when I was trying to figure out how I can live my dreams,” he said.

Under such circumstances, for the 20x All-Star to show up to Drake’s arch-nemesis concert could be damaging to their relationship. Then again, he might just be a lover of good music regardless of whatever complications are going on between the artists.
