Jennifer Lopez doesn’t often post about her twins, Max and Emme—so when she does, fans take notice. And her recent update celebrated the teens as they celebrated their 17th birthday.

On Feb. 22, J.Lo took to Instagram with a tribute to her children, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony.

“Seventeen. I love you beyond forever 🥥🥥,” the doting mom, 55, captioned her birthday tribute.

In the slideshow, Lopez included throwback photos and clips of her twins through the years. She set the glimpses of Emme and Max to Miley Cyrus‘ song “Edge of Midnight” featuring Stevie Nicks.

Lopez’s followers couldn’t believe her twins were already 17 in the comments of her birthday tribute.

One person wrote, “I remember when you were pregnant with the coconuts. OMG! 😮😍.”

Someone else lamented, “I just realized I’m so old !! Last time I checked they were 13 😂.”

Another Instagram user declared, “Seventeen! Time flies. Happy Birthday!! 🥥.”

Meanwhile, yet another fan shared, “It’s crazyy, they were just 13 yesterday. Happy birthday to our favorite twins!!🤍🥥🤍🥥.”

Lopez opened up about her teenagers while promoting her new film Unstoppabl during a January interview with E! News.

“I think kids are like kind of wrapped up in their own lives a bit, but if you ask them, they will give you their honest opinion about everything, you know what I mean?” she explained. “They’re ready to be brutally honest with you at times.”

Despite this brutal honesty, J.Lo said she appreciates Max and Emme’s feedback about her projects.

“I like my kids to see my work and know what I’m doing,” she told the outlet. “And I’ll share certain things with them and say, ‘What do you think of this?’ or, ‘What do you think of that?’ And they always have an interesting perspective, because they’re from a different generation.”

Hopefully, Lopez enjoyed some downtime with her twins as they begin their last year before officially becoming adults!
