The forthcoming Major League Baseball season opening against the San Diego Padres in Seoul, South Korea, will create “great memories” for Shohei Ohtani and his wife, according to the Los Angeles Dodgers star. However, he assured that he will not lose sight of his profession.

Ohtani and his wife, Mamiko Tanaka, arrived in Seoul the day before on Saturday, and at a packed news conference on Saturday, Ohtani and several of his Dodgers colleagues spoke to reporters. In Seoul, when will the Padres and Dodgers meet?The first Major League Baseball regular season games to be played in Seoul will be the March 20 and 21 games between the Dodgers and Padres. Ohtani will make his Dodgers debut in these games.

Ohtani joined the Dodgers in December after signing a record-setting 10-year, $700 million contract. He will sit out the entire season after undergoing surgery on his right elbow in September.
