Barcelona still interested in Nico Williams, their plans to sign him revealed
Barcelona have not given up their pursuit of Nico Williams. According to Diario Sport, there is a clear plan from Barca to sign the winger in 2025.
Barca intends to have the money to trigger Nico’s €58-60m release clause ready before June 2025.
The Blaugrana are counting on maintaining a good relationship with the player until next summer when they plan to sign him.
Barca tried to sign Williams this summer but the player decided to honour his pact with Bilbao and stay for at least one more season. However, he openly confirmed the exit door remains open.

Meanwhile, Barcelona had financial problems this summer preventing them from registering new signing Dani Olmo for almost three weeks after the season already started.
A fresh financial injection from sponsors and player sales will allow Barca sign and register Nico Williams next summer, if they indeed pursue the winger again.
