Carter’s departure would be a big loss, as she is the team’s leading scorer with an average of 17.5 points per game. This could have a significant impact on the team’s performance, especially after a challenging season.

Reese also emphasized that the absence of veteran players was a challenge as a rookie. However, she sees Unrivaled as a valuable opportunity to learn from experienced players. “Just being around this group every day, you see how they prepare, how they recover, how they handle the game,” Reese shared.

Additionally, the departures of close friends like head coach Teresa Weatherspoon and soon-to-be Chennedy Carter have taken a toll on Reese. When she learned Carter didn’t receive a qualifying offer, Reese voiced her support on her X account.
