Kelly Osborne has rung in the new year on a positive note as she has promised to herself that she will stick to her hard work after revealing that she is now two and a half years sober.
Taking to Instagram to share a sobriety update with her fans, the 35-year-old singer spoke about how 2019 treated her and how she is going to make the most of the year ahead.

“2019 has been one hell of a year,” she captioned a collage of her photos throughout the year.
She continued: “In many ways, it has been amazing especially in terms of self-growth. In many ways, it has been gut-wrenchingly difficult.”

Despite the ups and downs of 2019, it was a year full of new lessons and has taught Kelly to prioritize herself over anyone else, and to keep her own needs at the top of the list.

Sharing an insight into her insecurities and self-awareness with her fans, the reality tv star admitted that in 2020, things will change for her.
“Through all the good and bad, it has been incredibly educational for me. I have come to the realization that I constantly put the needs of others before my own. I allow myself to be put in situations that make me feel uncomfortable for fear of upsetting someone else.”
“Not forgetting the amount of times I co-sign the bullshit of others” she continued.
Kelly ended the letter with a promise to herself that she will put her needs over anyone else’s and that she will make the most of the coming year.

“It’s time to put myself first, stop taking on other peoples shit and be the badass sober women I was born to be. #HappyNewYear I love you guys” she wrote.

Alongside the inspiring post, Osborne shared a sombre photo of the late, great Amy Winehouse who passed away at just 27-years-old following alcohol and drug abuse.
The pair were great friends before Amy’s death in the summer of 2011.
