Henry Cavill is clearly not returning to James Gunn’s DC Universe in any form, and this latest rumor is the last nail as Marvel is eyeing him for a role. The actor has done an excellent job in Superman’s role, but after taking over the DC empire, Gunn and Peter Safran did not get Cavill back, disappointing thousands of fans. There were several rumors about the Man of Steel joining the MCU, but it has now spread like wildfire on social media.

Cavill lost his Clark Kent stint in the old DC Universe and left Netflix’s hit series, The Witcher. He became famous with his movie The Tudors and got his breakthrough in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. He then portrayed the role in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, and in the end credit scene of Black Adam. Henry made his last appearance in the DC Universe in the Dwayne Johnson-led movie.

After the casting of Fantastic Four was announced by Marvel, Henry Cavill’s allegedly joining the MCU is once again going viral on social media platform X. Fans are speculating that he might have been offered the role of Doctor Doom. However, Marvel scooper MyTimeToShineH revealed that he was offered something else and accepted the part. There have been a lot of such rumors and speculations before; hence, fans were skeptical of the scooper’s claims and refused to believe them.

The scooper, however, seems to be confident about his claims as they responded, “You will find that I’m not [lying], sooner than you think.” This indicates that Marvel might announce something soon. People curiously asked the scooper for more details in the comments. One fan said, “Is it a big role or a small role? A variant of an existing MCU character?”

One suggested, “Only Marvel characters that I think he’ll want to role in are either Hyperion or Sentry.”

Many think that Henry Cavill might play the role of Cyclops as one wrote, “Did he take the role of Cyclops.”

1. Captain Britain

Henry Cavill himself showed interest in playing Captain Britain. While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he revealed that he saw the fan-made poster of him as Captain Britain and said, “I have the internet, and I have seen the various rumors about Captain Britain, and that would be loads of fun to do a cool, modernized version of that — like the way they modernized Captain America. There’s something fun about that, and I do love being British.”

2. Hyperion

The character debuted in The Avengers #69 and exists as both heroes and villains in the Marvel Multiverse. Roy Thomas and Sal Buscema created it. As per its creator, Thomas Hyperion was created as a homage to Superman and could be a perfect role for Henry Cavill. He is an Eternal with powers like superhuman strength, agility, reflexes, flight, X-ray vision, telescopic vision, and more.

3. Cyclops

The mutants, or the X-Men, are making their way into the MCU. We saw Professor X in Doctor Strange 2, and we will see Wolverine and Pyro in Deadpool & Wolverine. The fans want to see Henry Cavill, who is also known as Scott Summers, as Cyclops in the MCU. We saw James Marshden and Tye Sheridan play the roles in the X-Men franchise.
