Barcelona set to register Olmo & Szczesny into La Liga squad after Ter Stegen injury

Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s injury means that Barcelona can unregister him from their 2024/25 La Liga squad for the time being, as per Mundo Deportivo.

This will open up more salary space in their squad. It also means the Blaugrana should be able to register a couple of players for the entire league campaign.

Of course, Wojciech Szczesny is going to be a direct replacement for Ter Stegen in the squad once his transfer is confirmed. He’ll be registered into the squad once he joins.

Barca can also now register Dani Olmo into the La Liga squad for the entire season. It must be noted that the midfielder is currently only registered until December 31.

With Ter Stegen out, the Blaugrana can use 80% of Ter Stegen’s salary to keep Olmo registered for the entire season. The other amount will be used for Szczesny.

Barcelona reportedly can register Szczesny for Champions League games
