When we think of Cybertrucks we picture those tough stainless steel exteriors – bulletproof and somewhat waterproof.
But now, one father and son duo has taken the truck in a different direction and designed a Cybertruck entirely out of wood.
And before you ask: yes, it actually works.
The duo document their creative work on their YouTube channel ND – Woodworking Art where they craft ‘stunning wooden cars that combine artistry with functionality’.
Other wooden vehicles the duo have created include sports cars, motorbikes and even a tank.
In their latest project, they spent 100 days building the wooden Cybertruck, and their YouTube video documenting the process has already gained over 2.5 million views since its release in late October.
It’s a stunning display of craftsmanship, and clearly loved by both their YouTube viewers and Tesla fans alike.
Alongside the video, they penned an open letter to Elon Musk, saying:
“I am a passionate content creator with a deep love for wooden vehicles and a tremendous admiration for both you and Tesla.
“Over the years, I’ve embarked on several wooden car projects to gain valuable experience. And today I launched a car that I am very impressed with, the Cybertruck. It is also the car that many of my audiences love and want me to build.
“I am aware that Tesla has faced its share of challenges in bringing the Cybertruck to fruition. However, I maintain unwavering faith in your vision and the capabilities of Tesla. I am confident that this extraordinary vehicle will ultimately succeed.
“I hope to have the honor of gifting this wooden Cybertruck to you and Tesla, and wish you and Tesla continued success and maintain your position in the international arena.”

The letter, along with photos of the wooden truck, was posted on X (formerly Twitter). And the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk actually responded.
He wrote: “Sure, much appreciated,” followed by a heart emoji.
Thrilled by Musk’s response, the YouTubers replied: “I am truly delighted to hear your compliments, please let me know how I can send a wooden replica of the Cybertruck to you.”
Safe to say the vehicle has Musk’s name on it as it features the ‘X’ logo on the door.
Though we don’t know whether Musk has received the wooden truck yet, but fans have been quick to praise the creation.
“His building skills are amazing. His craftsmanship is top notch,” one person wrote underneath the YouTube video.
“That result is bad-ass. This has to be one of the best looking Cybertruck to ever hit the roads and I’d love for it to be prominently featured at Tesla’s HQ,” another remarked.
One viewer added: “Cant start to think about the insane amount of measurements that went into this project… This is sooo cool to watch and nothing short of superb.”
Others joked that the wooden version was ‘better than the original’ and another said: “This is gonna give the original Cybertruck a run for their money.”

Cybertrucks are well-known for their stainless steel exoskeleton – who among us hasn’t seen the videos of people shooting bullets at the truck, barely making a dent?
But now, the Cybertruck has been given a remarkably different look, and has been crafted entirely out of wood.
And would you believe it, but the wooden Cybertruck actually works.
It was built by the brains behind the YouTube channel ND – Woodworking Art, who describe themselves as a ‘father and son duo crafting stunning wooden cars that combine artistry with functionality’.

Other wooden vehicles the duo have created include sports cars, motorbikes and even a tank.
The YouTube video – which has racked up over 2.5 million views since it was posted at the end of October – follows 100 days of building the Cybertruck out of wood.
It’s a truly mind-blowing expression of craftsmanship – and it would seem like the YouTubers are big Tesla fans.
Along with the video is an open letter to Elon Musk which reads:

The open letter and images of the wooden Cybertruck were posted to X – the social media platform Musk owns – and the man himself even replied.

This obviously thrilled the YouTubers, who replied: “I am truly delighted to hear your compliments, please let me know how I can send a wooden replica of the Cybertruck to you.”
It’s such an homage to Musk, there’s even the ‘X’ logo emblazoned on the door.
“His building skills are amazing. His craftsmanship is top notch,” one person wrote underneath the YouTube video.
“If you sold this thing as an entire puzzle, I would buy it. You guys make it look easy to build,” another said, while one added: “Cant start to think about the insane amount of measurements that went into this project… This is sooo cool to watch and nothing short of superb.”
Many others had the same idea when comparing it to the original model.
“This is gonna give the original Cybertruck a run for their money,” one YouTuber wrote, and another suggested it was “even better than the original”.

Trump praised Musk for donating Starlink systems to victims impacted by Hurricane Helene before adding: “I didn’t know what the hell Starlink was.”
Now, Musk has gone one step further in his bid to get Trump re-elected, by offering out cash incentives to registered voters who sign a petition.
The petition is said to promote ‘free speech and the right to bear arms’ and the billionaire is offering people who sign it the chance to win $1 million.

Musk previously said that he would select one random person each day and award them with a million dollars.
And it looks like he’s sticking to his word, handing over the first check on Saturday, October 19, to a man in Pennsylvania.
Musk talked about the petition at a rally in the state, saying that he was aiming to get between one million and two million signatures ‘because I think this sends a crucial message to our elected politicians’.
On Sunday, Musk announced the second winner of the prize, a woman also from Pennsylvania.
The state is considered to be a ‘must-win’ for both the Democrat and Republican parties.
According to the Federal Election Commission, the SpaceX CEO has donated around $75 million in the last three months to a political action committee (PAC) that he set up in support of Trump’s presidential campaign.
