Henry Cavill’s Depressing Confession About Having Kids 8 Years Ago Makes His First Baby’s Arrival Extra Special

Henry Cavill’s comment on what kind of a dad he wants to become seven years ago makes his baby’s arrival very special.

Henry Cavill and girlfriend Natalie Viscuso have welcomed their first baby together. Cavill earlier confirmed in April 2024 that he and Viscuso were expecting their first child. No other details about the child are available except for photos of the couple pushing a baby stroller in Australia. Cavill is currently filming Voltron in the country.

Seven years earlier, Cavill had opened up about what kind of a dad he wanted to become. It was clear that he was ready to be a parent even then but sadly he had to wait a few more years to reach fatherhood. His newborn baby’s arrival is therefore all the more special to the Man of Steel actor.

Henry Cavill once shared the kind of dad he wanted to become only to realize it seven years later

The Daily Mail‘s photos show new parents Henry Cavill and Natalie Viscuso pushing around a baby stroller in Australia. Cavill confirmed that they were expecting a child in April 2024. During the premiere of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare last April, Cavill told Access Hollywood that he and Viscuso were excited about the baby.

He shared, “But, I’m very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited. I’m sure you’ll see much more of that.” Henry Cavill was not just excited but he was also preparing for the role of a father for a long time. In 2017, Cavill shared with Men’s Health UK about how he would approach fatherhood.

He told the outlet that he wanted to be a dad who could run around his kids all the time. He wanted to be a fit and healthy dad who didn’t need to “catch a breather” in looking after his kids. He shared:

If I ever have kids one day, I want to be the dad who’s running round after them. And if I do have kids, even now, it’s starting to get quite late. But I want to be a fit and healthy dad, not hobbling round like, ‘OK, I’m just going to catch a breather.’ Yeah, I’m going to take care of my body – look good, but not smash it.

Sadly, it would take another seven years before he could embrace fatherhood. At 41, the Enola Holmes actor has still got it in him to be the healthy, good-looking dad that he wanted to be. Natalie Viscuso is a former VP of Legendary Entertainment and the couple made their relationship official in 2021. They made their red carpet debut at the Enola Holmes 2 premiere in 2022.
