Zac Brown has gotten a temporary restraining order against his wife, according to Fox News.

The country music star, 45, per the report, filed a lawsuit Friday in Georgia, requesting “an emergency temporary restraining order, injunctive relief, and damages arising out of several past and threatened violations.”

“I took the steps necessary to enforce an agreement between us to maintain personal and business affairs in confidence and to protect my family from online harassment and speculation,” Brown said in a statement to NBC News.

Fox reports Brown’s wife, Kelly Yazdi, is in violation of a confidentiality agreement. Entertainment Tonight reports Brown wanted Yazdi to take down an Instagram post that went against the agreement.

Brown is also asking the court to stop Yazdi from “making any defamatory, false, untrue, or otherwise damaging statements” about him, his family and his bandmates.

According to TMZ, Brown and Yazdi secretly married in August 2023, in Georgia. Reports of the couple’s separation went public in December 2023, with the couple stating in a statement that they are “in the process of divorce.”

Fox reported that Brown also asked the court to prevent Yazdi from “making any defamatory, false, untrue, or otherwise damaging statements.”
