Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship is about to face its biggest test yet.

The 34-year-old pop icon has reportedly laid down some pretty strict relationship rules for her NFL star boyfriend to follow if he wants to be with her for the long run. Following 34-year-old Travis’ Kansas City Cheifs’ Super Bowl parade earlier this year – which saw him branded a ‘red flag’ by fans – the couple reportedly decided not to ever spend more than two weeks apart.

However, the couple – who first sparked dating rumours last July before going public with their relationship in October – will no doubt find it difficult to see each other every two weeks this summer. Taylor is currently in the midst of the UK leg of her Eras Tour and has a jam-packed European concert schedule throughout the summer. While Travis has promised to come and support his superstar girlfriend while she performs in the UK, his own hectic timetable may make it difficult for him to abide by her number one relationship rule.

Following Travis’ Super Bowl antics, an insider revealed the couple had promised each other to stay closely connected. Speaking to the Daily Mail, they said: “They have decided that they don’t want to be away from each other for more than two weeks at a time.”

While Travis was not spotted in Edinburgh to watch his Cruel Summer songstress girlfriend kick off the UK leg of her tour, he is rumoured to be joining her while she enjoys a few days off before her first performance in Liverpool. He has also hinted that he will be coming to watch her perform in London. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he said: “Oh, you know I gotta go support. I think she’s at Wembley eight times.”

Taylor is set to perform for a total of eight nights in the capital city, from 21st- 23rd June, and then again when she wraps up her tour from 15th-20th August. While Travis has been known to fly all over the world to support Taylor, he will find it difficult to find the time to travel to Europe once the NFL season starts and the Chiefs are scheduled to kick off their first game on 11th August, making it a difficult month for the couple to abide by their relationship rule.

Spending long stretches apart risks putting a strain on the golden couple’s relationship, and an insider previously told Life & Style that Travis was “not so happy” with some of the restrictions Taylor has put in place, with one even making him “roll his eyes”. They said: “(He) is fine not going to strip clubs anymore, but Taylor also doesn’t want him posing for photographs with female fans, mostly to avoid inaccurate headlines. He had to roll his eyes at that one.”
