Early last year, it was reported that WWE entered into talks with Tama Tonga and Hikuleo to hire the two. However, the negotiations came to a standstill as Vince McMahon returned intending to sell the company. A year later, with McMahon out and WWE under the leadership of Endeavor, Tonga has signed with the company. And not just Tonga, even Tanga Loa made his return to the company at Backlash, entering directly into the storyline surrounding The Bloodline.

Meanwhile, Hikuleo continues to ply his trade in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. But according to a renowned pro wrestling insider, the Samoan could head to WWE soon enough to usher in the next chapter of The Bloodline arc.

WWE sets its sights on signing Hikuleo

WWE continues to search for talent that adds value to their company’s programming. The latest wrestler on the interest list is Hikuleo, the star of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. According to the latest edition of the Fighftul wrestling podcast and Sean Ross Sapp, Hikuleo could soon become part of the WWE roster. When asked about free agents who might get signed by the WWE, Sapp revealed, “I don’t think there are big-ticket free agents that are necessarily out there except Hikuleo eventually in like a month or so.”

The 33-year-old Hikuleo made his NJPW debut in 2016 after training at the Team 3D academy, the NJPW Dojo, and the Fale Dojo. He has also appeared in IMPACT Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling. He is the brother of Tama Tonga and nephew of Haku, who adopted him as his son. So he seems like a perfect fit for the new Bloodline. Joining forces with his brothers, Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga, would send a decisive message to the rest of the roster and the WWE Universe. Alternatively, the current NJPW superstar could align himself with OG Bloodline members and take down the plague that haunts SmackDown these days.

Speaking about messages, a new inductee into The Bloodline issued his first message to the world after joining the WWE.

During the post-WrestleMania XL episode of SmackDown, the WWE universe got to see the debut of a new superstar in WWE. Said superstar was Tama Tonga, where he appeared to join The Bloodline and attack Jimmy Uso, thus making the latter’s expulsion from the faction official. A week later on the blue brand, Tonga continued to hunt his prey and this time it was Kevin Owens’ turn. And then came the high-intensity tag team street fight at Backlash. But right after joining the Bloodline, the new addition to the WWE issued his first message on his Instagram account.

Tama Tonga uploaded a picture of himself and highlighted the nickname given to him by Solo Sikoa “MFT”. And now it would be interesting to see what this new Bloodline with the MFT, Sikoa, and Tanga Loa bring to the plate, especially when the OG ‘Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns returns. What do you think? Will Hikuleo join the new or the old Bloodline if he joins? Let us know in the comments.
