She slipped in and out of costume changes – donning a glamorous military-inspired number – while energetically performing a string of her newest songs.

J-Lo took to the stage at the Ariston Theatre in San Remo to mark the fourth night of the festival which is now in its 60th year.

After returning to the U.S., Lopez, who has twins Max, and Emme, 2, with her husband Marc Anthony, will host the long-running Saturday Night Live for the first time in nine years.

She will also be the musical guest on February 27, to promote her new album Love? And her latest movie The Back-up Plan.

Lopez is to also guest star in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother alongside show regular Neil Patrick Harris.

‘She was really great,’ he posted on Twitter along with a picture of him with Lopez.

‘Hot, cool, and funny. And well prepared! She gave me a few pointers.’
