Zach Wilson’s Ex-Girlfriend Now Engaged To His Former Teammate

Washington Commanders wide receiver Dax Milne, who played with Wilson at BYU, popped the question to Abbey Gile, Wilson’s high school sweetheart, on the beach recently. The pair announced their engagement Monday.

The news comes a little more than a week after Wilson and girlfriend Nicolette Dellanno revealed they got engaged while on vacation in Italy.

After several years together, Wilson and Gile broke up in early 2022. Shortly thereafter, word leaked that Gile was dating Milne, Wilson’s ex-receiver and buddy.

When social media commenters came at Gile on Instagram for being “a homie hopper,” the young blonde fired back, accusing Wilson of being “the real homie hopper” for sleeping with a friend’s mom.

This exchange led to two years and running of Zach Wilson MILF jokes, which are probably going to have more staying power than Wilson’s actual playing career.

The No. 2 overall pick of the New York Jets in 2021, Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos this offseason after three ineffective seasons.

Milne, meanwhile, was a seventh-round pick of the Commanders the same year. He did not appear in any games for Washington in 2023 but led the team in punt returns the previous season with 40.

For his career, Milne has 15 receptions for 120 yards and a touchdown.
