Chiefs rookie Xavier Worthy throws dollar bills over girlfriend in TikTok – but NFL fans notice ‘crazy’ detail from clip

KANSAS City Chiefs wideout Xavier Worthy may not have signed his rookie deal, but this hasn’t stopped him from splashing the cash.

Selected 28th overall out of Texas in April’s NFL Draft, 21-year-old speedster Worthy remains unsigned as OTAs continue.

Worthy’s rookie deal will reportedly be worth in the region of $13.8 million over four years, as per Spotrac.

However, it seems the youngster isn’t short of cash, with an estimated annual value of $765,000 thanks to Name, Image, and Likeness deals during his final season with the Longhorns, according to On3.

In a recent TikTok video taken in a bathroom, he and his girlfriend Tia Jones, a track and field athlete, showed off their incredible iced-out watches and chains.

Worthy then held out a handful of dollar bills, throwing them over Jones as she danced in front of him.

After they both grabbed another handful of cash, Worthy threw yet more up in the air, as Jones fanned herself with her money.

Worthy later fanned out yet another fistful of money to close out the clip.

Unfortunately for Worthy and Jones, the post didn’t appear to impress many fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, who seemed more focused on some of the finer details of the clip.

“Lol are those 1s,” said one follower.

“I can’t get the image of him sitting in a bathroom picking up $1 dollar bills for 10 minutes out of my head,” commented a second.

Meanwhile, others noticed the cat sitting behind the shower curtain in the background of the “cringe” clip, prompting one user to ask, “What kind of cat is that?”

As another asked, “The cat knows we can see it right?”

Worthy is expected to form a crucial part of the revamped Chiefs wideout corps.

After their issues at the position last season, Kansas City not only drafted Worthy, but also brought in free agent Marquise Brown, and undrafted rookies Jaaron Hayek and Phillip Brooks.

They also signed former Welsh international rugby star Louis Rees-Zammit, who has been forecast to possibly see snaps at both running back and wideout.

Worthy heads for the NFL having wowed at the Combine, where he set a new 40-yard dash record at 4.21 seconds.

In three years at Texas, Worthy totaled 2,755 yards and 26 touchdowns in 39 games.

As for Jones, she turned professional straight out of high school, going on to win two Under-20 World Championship gold medals in the 100-meter sprint and the 4X100-meter relay in 2018 and 2016 respectively.

In 2017, she also won the Pan American Under-20 Championships title in the 100-meter hurdles.

Recently, when competing at the USA Track and Field Indoor Championships, Jones set a joint world record in the 60-meter hurdles.

She is currently sponsored by Adidas.
