Joe Mazzulla’s group is enjoying a historic run in the 2024 NBA postseason. The Celtics are one win away from winning their 18th NBA title and breaking their tie with long-time rivals LA Lakers.
The Celtics’ win over the Mavericks on Wednesday was the franchise’s 15th victory of this year’s postseason. The Eastern Conference champions stormed into the NBA Finals with a 4-1 first-round win over Miami Heat, 4-1 second-round win over the Cleveland Cavaliers and swept the Indiana Fever in the Conference Finals.
With a 15-2 record in this year’s playoffs, the Celtics are on the verge of completing a historic postseason run.

The Philadelphia 76ers registered a 12-1 record during the 1983 NBA postseason before going on to win lift the trophy. The 76ers swept the Lakers in the finals and ended the postseason with a win percentage of 92.3.

The Minneapolis Lakers won the 1950 NBA championship and ended their postseason with a 11-2 record for a win percentage of 91.7.
