Tim McGraw is climbing the country charts with another hit song. It’s off his latest album, Standing Roon Only , and it’s called “One Bad Habit.” Tim said in a recent interview about “One Bad Habit”: “I loved the lyrics from the beginning. Then when we got in the studio and we tore it all apart and put it back together, it turned out great.”

“It was a lot slower when we first heard the demo,” he added. “I loved the guitar on that song. The band captured the feeling I was trying to create. It was one of those songs that just fell into place when I sang. When the record was finished, we were hooked.”

In the same interview, McGraw revealed a bad habit of his. While the country star admitted that he has many bad habits, he said the worst one is when his wife tells him to pick up things from the bathroom floor. He said that after staying in so many hotels for 30 years, he found himself throwing things around and leaving them in a mess. McGraw confessed, “So I do it at home, and it’s not acceptable. That’s probably the worst bad habit my wife tells me. But there’s more!”

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Tim’s first #1 hit, “Don’t Take The Girl.” The song peaked in June 1994. McGraw recalls singing the song at a New Faces show in February 1994. Backstage that night was when he first met his future wife, Faith Hill. Tim says, “We took a picture. My knees went weak. I really fell for her. She took a while. I was wearing that ugly red and black jacket. I was surprised she even noticed me.” McGraw says he doesn’t reflect much on anniversaries, although he’s often reminded. “I hear my manager talking about it, telling me this happened or that happened,” he says. “I wonder, what’s next? I’m always moving forward. I don’t look back.” I think when I sit in my rocking chair, I probably reflect. But I’m not good at reflecting. I still feel like I have more to offer.”

So how far has his rocking chair come? The country music icon said, “I don’t know. I still feel pretty young, I still feel pretty vibrant, I feel like I want to keep making music, keep working on my craft. If I get to a point where I think I’m good at it, I should hang it up.”
