Fans went wild Tuesday evening as they spotted rap legend Snoop Dogg cheering on team USA alongside A’ja Wilson in the sidelines during the men’s basketball quarterfinals

Fans joke that Snoop Dogg should be the Olympics official mascot as the rapper appears to be the sporting games’ number one fan.

The Drop It Like It’s Hot hitmaker has been a staple of the 2024 Olympics, and last night, he was once again the center of attention as fans went wild went they spotted the legendary rapper in the sidelines. Tuesday evening, the 52-year-old artist was seen sitting alongside American basketball star A’ja Wilson as they cheered on Team USA during the men’s basketball quarterfinals.

During day eleven of the Olympic Games, Snoop was seen passionately clapping during the Brazil vs. USA match completely decked out on Olympics merch. For the game, the Gin and Juice hitmaker was seen wearing a baggy white t-shirt with the official Olympics symbol plastered on the front with American flag patterned sleeves to show where his loyalties lie.

Tuesday evening, one Olympics goer spoke about Snoop’s presence at the game and the excitement he is generating from attendees. One fan told Celebrity Nine: “I entered the building today with Snoop Dogg and there were just people with their mobile phones out, capturing the moment of Snoop Dogg being in their presence,” and added: “It is quite the existence that he leads. He’s everywhere at these Olympics.”

And while Snoop seems to be a true fan of the games, he is on the clock as he was hired to be a correspondent for NBC to cover this years’ Olympic Games. According to venture investor Henry McNamara, the rapper is being paid a massive $500,000 a day to generate excitement and interest for the annual sporting competitions.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, he claimed that he overheard an NBC executive reveal Snoop’s salary. He wrote: “Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner, he said Snoop gets paid $500k a day plus expenses to be here promoting Olympics. From Gin and Juice to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics – what a world.”

Since the games began, Snoop has generated buzz across social media capturing fans’ attention as he was the Olympic torch bearer. During the ceremony, Snoop was met with roaring applause as he symbolically passed the flame while treating fans to his signature Crip Walk. Since then fans have been loving the rap legends antics at the games as he was seen busting a move with athletes, sharing his hilarious commentary, and stepping out in eccentric outfits.
