Family Feud host Steve Harvey was censored by the game show’s producers over a joke he made while playfully teasing a player.
Harvey, who’s been the face of the popular TV program since 2010, challenged contestant Kate to answer: ‘Name someone you don’t mind disrobing in front of.’
Without a beat of hesitation, the mom answered: ‘My kids.’
Harvey immediately seized on the moment to fool around with the admission, saying ‘Hey kids. How y’all doing?’ as he pretended to unbutton his jacket.
The clip was posted to Family Feud’s Instagram, where the show’s producers jokingly censored Harvey’s crotch area as mimed taking off a robe.
Family Feud host Steve Harvey was prompted to make a hilarious jibe at a guest after her answer shocked him
The contestant, Kate, was asked to name someone she doesn’t mind disrobing in front of, to which she replied ‘my kids’
Kate’s revelation didn’t seem to faze the audience though, who clapped as she once again repeated that she had no issue getting undressed in front of her kids.
Once Harvey was done mocking Kate, he said: ‘You’re going to put your kids in therapy, I’m telling you.’
She then clarified that her kids were babies when she was naked in front of them.
To Harvey’s surprise, ‘my kids/baby’ was an answer on the board. Nine other people surveyed said they were comfortable disrobing in front of their children. The more common answers were ‘spouse/lover’ and ‘doctor/nurse.’
The audience erupted in cheers and a vindicated Kate proudly told Harvey with a wide grin: ‘It’s on there!’
‘I don’t know how the hell it was on there because I tell you that’s the worst answer you could give,’ Harvey replied.
Viewers reacted to the short clip on Instagram, with one person saying he agreed the response shouldn’t be on the board.
Another commenter were more understanding and argued that exposing young children to nudity isn’t the worst thing.
One wrote: ‘If you’re getting changed and your kid walks in on you, it just normalizes the human body, so they won’t grow up thinking bodies are weird or inherently sexual.’

Many others said the reminded them of another viral moment Harvey when asked a contestant what a burglar wouldn’t want to see when breaking into a house, which garnered over 11 million views on YouTube.
To which the contestant, named Rod, shouted ‘Naked Grandma!’
Rod’s rival standing across from him said: ‘I don’t want to see that either.’
