Jelly Roll is joining many other musicians, such as Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Shania Twain and more, on “Twisters: The Album.”

A preview of the country singer’s new song “Dead End Road,” which will be part of the film’s album, was exclusively revealed on TODAY July 18.

In the upbeat track, Jelly Roll sings about living on the edge as a snippet of the music video shows him standing in a house while a storm rips around him.

“‘Cause the highway to hell is the road I’m on / I need to turn around before I’m too far gone / I’m never gonna make it / All ’em streets are gone / I’ve got to quit living on a dead end road,” he sings.

“Twisters” is set to be released on Friday, July 19. The movie stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell and Anthony Ramos, playing characters “who come together to try to predict, and possibly tame, the immense power of tornadoes,” according to the film’s synopsis.

The movie follows Kate Carter (Edgar-Jones), a former storm chaser who pivoted to studying storm patterns in New York City following a terrible encounter with a tornado. Her friend Javi (Ramos) convinces her to return to the open plains to help “test a groundbreaking new tracking system,” states the synopsis, where she meets Tyler Owens (Powell) who “thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew, the more dangerous the better.”

“As storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed, and Kate, Tyler, Javi and their crews find themselves squarely in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma in the fight of their lives,” the synopsis continues.

During a July 17 appearance on TODAY, Powell talked about his role in the movie and said he can’t wait for “Twisters” to be released.

“I really love this one. I mean, maybe it’s because I feel really comfortable in a cowboy hat,” he laughed. “Growing up in Texas — all my friends want to see this one, so it’s great.”
