Fashion victim Carrie Underwood was just questioned about the “denim diaper” she donned on Good Morning America.

Fashion Victim Carrie Underwood Questioned About ‘Denim Diaper’

Carrie Underwood is a blonde bombshell who always looks dazzling in whatever she wears. Dressed up or down, she can do no wrong but on Friday, August 2nd, she made a big clothing snafu. The newly minted American Idol judge took the stage at Good Morning America to sing her heart out. She also, for the first time, chatted about returning to Idol, which she won in Season 4. That show launched her into the stardom and fame she has now, which includes multiple Grammys, a Las Vegas residency, and millions of albums sold.

Though it should have been a celebratory occasion, it seems that fans were more fixated on her outfit than anything else. According to Monsters & Critics, the forty-one-year-old donned a colorful, short-sleeved, cropped jacket, knee-high denim boots, and micro denim shorts. She finished the look with a jeweled belt but the focus was on the shorts that were compared to a “diaper” on social media. This happened after GMA proudly shared clips from her segment on its Instagram and followers immediately rushed to the comment section. They were not kind to Carrie by any means giving her zero grace.

 

The clip showed Carrie belting out her smash hit single, “Last Name.” Despite the killer vocals, the comments were atrocious:

Aside from the scrutiny surrounding her shorts, some questioned Carrie Underwood’s morals. They wondered if she had any with shorts that tiny where she could give the front row a show at any time. More so, some noted if she moved the wrong way, she could expose herself. That may be pushing it a tad too far as she may have thought she looked cute but it simply fell flat or did not film well. Finally, after the heat Carrie took from that one outfit, it is likely she will never repeat that mistake again.
