Caitlin Clark suffers brutal arm slash by 6ft 5in WNBA rival as Fever star is embroiled in foul controversy again
Plus, the Indiana star discusses the team’s uptick in fortunes on the court
BASKETBALL superstar Caitlin Clark has been on the receiving end of yet another hard foul in the WNBA.
The Indiana Fever rookie was slashed in the arm by 6-foot-5 Washington Mystics center Stefanie Dolson while going for a layup on Wednesday night.

But inexplicably, the referees did not call a foul and let play continue.
Responding to a viral video, many fans took to social media to show their dismay and disgust at the no-call.
“WNBA officiating is worse than little league rec ball,” one fan said.
“Caitlin definitely got hacked by Dolson on this play, as a ref I am not sure how you miss that,” another fan said.
“WNBA has a reffing problem,” a third fan noted.
Clark overcame the incident to register 18 points, 12 rebounds, six assists in an 88-81 victory for Indiana.
But it was the latest hard foul on Clark, who received a blow to the head from rival Angel Reese on Sunday.
Clark was driving to the basket when fellow rookie Reese, 22, tried to make a play.
The Chicago Sky star ended up swiping Clark across the forehead and sending her tumbling to the floor.
Reese was called for a flagrant foul on the play.
“It’s a basketball play,” Reese claimed.
“I’m always going for the ball.
“Y’all are going to play that clip, what, 20 times before Monday?”
Clark was also on the receiving end of a flagrant foul when the Fever played the Sky earlier this month.
She was hip-checked by Chennedy Carter, which was ruled a common foul at the time but later upgraded to a flagrant 1 by the league office.
Clark said at the time: “Yeah, that’s just not a basketball play.

“But you know, I’ve gotta play through it, that’s what basketball is about at this level.
“I thought we’ve been really physical, we’ve missed some bunnies around the rim, so hopefully, those fall in the fourth.”
It was a third consecutive victory for the Fever after a disappointing start to the season.
“The confidence that we’ve been able to build from the last three games is, you know, continue to take a step forward and learn each game, and if we do happen to lose one, how are we going to respond?” Clark said.
“That’s been a big thing for us, too. The last game we lost, we found a way to respond and string off three straight wins.
“I think we’ve gotten a lot better over the course of these last three games and we’re continuing to build on that.”
