Dolly Parton Fears AI Will Trap Her Soul on Earth. ttmd

Dolly Parton doesn’t want to use artificial intelligence and, in fact, doesn’t want to use advanced technology to trap her soul on Earth after death, which she fears might happen.

While many people around the world will never have to worry about the possibility of AI somehow keeping their souls on Earth after they leave this mortal coil, Dolly Parton is one of the few the one chosen to do it. In a recent interview, Parton revealed that she’s at the point where she has to decide whether she’s interested in developing an AI hologram of herself to perform for her.

Dolly Parton thinks her legacy is secure

However, Dolly Parton seemed pretty against it, saying: “I think I left an amazing body of work behind,” she said. “I have to decide how much high-tech stuff I want to get into because I don’t want to leave my soul on this earth…I think with some of this stuff, I’ll be trapped here forever … I will be around, we will find a way to keep me here.”

Honestly, it’s hard to argue with that, since Dolly Parton has recorded 48 studio albums, 4 collaborative albums, 9 live albums, and an estimated staggering 222 compilation albums. The country queen has also starred in 12 movies, appeared hundreds of times on television (including with her goddaughter Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana on Disney Channel), built her own amusement park and became one of the most popular characters in show business.

So it’s probably fair to say she doesn’t think AI holograms are necessary.

Many iconic musicians are developing AI programs
However, it wouldn’t be surprising if she actually risked her immortal soul to take an AI hologram.

Many of her colleagues in the music industry are working on creating AI-based versions of their stage shows, most notably Abba with the Abba: Voyage concert, which featured holograms AIs of younger versions of the four band members and the late Whitney Houston with An Evening with Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Tour, toured Europe and resided in Las Vegas.

Of course, Dolly Parton is famously humorful and also opined that her own intelligence was “artificial,” so who’s to say? Never change, Dolly.
