The expectations for Xavier Worthy as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs have been one that leads to believe he can be a top number receiver in the NFL soon. However, the start to his professional career has been rough.

The University of Texas graduate has had his vehicle stolen and it happened earlier in the week. According to reports, Worthys car was in a parking garage Sunday night and Monday morning and then it disappeared.

The police has not made public what kind of car has stolen put it has been on the receivers mind and people within the Chiefs organization can only hope this does not affect his training and preparing for camps where he would get more reps with starting quarterback and Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes.

Worthy is not the only receiver to have problems

The problems with Kansas City’s receivers don’t stop off the field. The players who have passed through the Chiefs during the last year and those who join the team seem to have found a curse in the team.

A couple of months ago, Rashee Rice was involved in a multi-vehicle car accident and will likely see a multi-game suspension next season. This could affect the rhythm that Andy Reid’s team was beginning to have in the off-season training programs.

Rice was aiming to be Mahomes’ primary receiver this season, but this misfortune could change his role with the team. Xavier Worthy, who could be Pat’s number one receiver with Rice out, seems to have been given this baton with bad car luck.

Although what happens with Worthy is totally different, as he was the victim of the theft of his property, the Chiefs receivers seem to have encountered bad luck with their vehicles.
