The Kansas City Chiefs didn’t get to celebrate their Super Bowl victory for too long before having to deal with some internal issues. And those issues have been caused primarily by Rashee Rice.

The impressive rookie wide receiver has been embroiled in legal trouble since late March, causing real headaches for the Chiefs front office. Kansas City had to invest more at the wideout position in the offseason due to Rice’s situation, in order to not leave Patrick Mahomes exposed during the 2024 season.

Cam Newton destroys Rashee Rice for his immature actions

Cam Newton, the former NFL MVP, sent Rice strong words of advice on his podcast.

Playboy, sit yo a** down somewhere. You’re too loud right now, bro. You got kids, you got family to take care of. Keep that s**t in perspective, keep the main thing the main thing. You over here punching photographers and driving reckless… It’s not a person in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes included, the league don’t need you.

Newton cautions Rice that continuing to put himself in the limelight for the wrong reasons will get him bounced from the league quickly.

Rice turned himself into authorities in April for a high-speed hit and run crash that he was responsible for. In early May, Rice came under investigation for punching a man in downtown Dallas.

Given Rice’s troubles, the Chiefs have added some talented wide receivers to offset any playing time that Rice loses if suspended by the NFL for his incidents. The signed Marquise Brown in free agency and drafted Xavier Worthy in the first round.
