Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO are thinking about having a child together.

The 44-year-old podcaster shared this exciting update during the season finale of her Dumb Blonde podcast, released on Tuesday, July 2.

“I would have trouble carrying a baby,” Bunnie, also known as Alyssa DeFord, explained, revealing that she has endured “many” pregnancy losses and is not emotionally prepared for another loss, especially after stabilizing her mental health following a challenging year in 2019.

During that year, Bunnie and the “Wild Ones” singer, born Jason DeFord, were also facing difficulties in their relationship, despite it being the first time they felt financially ready to have a child together. This resulted in them discussing IVF a few months ago.

“I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in my life. And the only thing that’s left is to raise a baby and garden,” Bunnie remarked. “I’m in my baby mama gardening [sic] era.”

When she asked how Jelly Roll felt about having a child together, he responded, “I would love to have a baby with you,” which pleasantly surprised her. He revealed that he had always felt this way.

“Now he’s genuinely excited about [the idea of having a child],” Bunnie shared, noting his support for surrogacy.

Bunnie and Jelly Roll said they planned to keep their IVF journey private, intending to announce the baby’s arrival only after the birth, to avoid negativity and because people on the internet love “to ruin beautiful things.”

However, Jelly Roll’s excitement led him to share their plans on another podcast. When he informed Bunnie of his slip-up, she was initially stressed but soon embraced his enthusiasm.

“I thought about it and I was like, ‘My husband is f****** excited to have a kid with me. Like, how cool is that?’ And if he wants to f****** scream it from the mountaintops, f****** let him,” she said, adding that she contacted the podcasters and they allowed her to make the announcement herself.

In her podcast episode, Bunnie addressed internet trolls who leave negative comments, and ultimately disclosed that she and Jelly Roll plan to begin their IVF journey in 2025. They are considering having twins but intend to keep the rest of their journey private.

Bunnie is already a stepmother to Jelly Roll’s two children from previous relationships: Bailee Ann, 15, and Noah Buddy, 7.
