Billy Ray Cyrus requests Firerose’s medical records after she claims ex filed for divorce day before double mastectomy

Firerose said her surgery didn’t happen as she had to look for a place to live after he filed for divorce

BILLY Ray Cyrus subpoenaed Firerose’s medical records around her double mastectomy in the exes’ contentious divorce battle.

According to documents exclusively revealed by The U.S. Sun, Billy Ray, 62, is asking for his soon-to-be ex-wife’s medical records from the Tennessee medical center where she was presumably receiving treatment.

In the subpoena to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the Achy Breaky Heart singer requested his ex’s “complete file, including, but not limited to any and all medical records for Ms. Hodges that pertain to the BRCA1 gene; appointment notes; and scheduled operations and surgeries.”

In previous court papers by Firerose, 37, she claimed that Billy Ray filed for divorce the day she was to begin double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery after doctors diagnosed her as a carrier of the BRCA1 gene mutation.

The BRCA1 gene usually identifies a person as being at high risk of certain types of cancer.

“About 50 out of 100 women with a BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation will get breast cancer by the time they turn 70 years old,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

According to the filing, Firerose’s first surgery was scheduled for May 24.

On May 23, Billy Ray filed for divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct and also requested an annulment on alleging fraud.

Firerose’s attorney said Billy Ray had become hostile with her leading up to his filing for divorce, and as she was preparing for her first surgery.

“When Wife would attempt to voice certain concerns, Husband would often call her a ‘selfish f**king b***h’ and continually alleged that she was using him,” the filing read.

“With Wife’s major surgery date looming, she was reasonably afraid to leave or seek any type of help because she feared that Husband would interfere with her surgery or her lengthy recovery at home.”

Firerose claimed that Billy Ray was paying the bills for her health insurance.

The document read, “Wife relied on Husband’s promises to pay for her surgery, and Husband has now repudiated that promise.

“On the day Wife was set to get her surgery, she was instead searching for a place to live and under a significant amount of emotional distress.”

Billy Ray and Firerose were married just seven months before he pulled the plug.

The singers tied the knot in October 2023 after he finalized his divorce from Tish Cyrus after 30 years of marriage in 2022.

This is Billy Ray’s third marriage.

Billy Ray has claimed that Firerose entered into the marriage on the grounds of fraud.

He alleges, among other things, that Firerose did not disclose that this was not her first marriage and that her maiden name was not Hodges, as it was her ex-husband’s name.

In an amended complaint from Billy Ray filed on July 17, the singer included Firerose’s divorce papers from her previous marriage in Los Angeles.

He also included a copy of their marriage certificate which shows where she wrote that this was her first marriage.

Billy Ray also accused Firerose of “conducting a campaign to isolate” him from his family.

He even alleged she blocked one of his daughters from his phone.

He and his famous daughter, Miley Cyrus, have displayed their fractured relationship since he and Firerose got together.

A few months after news of his divorce from her mother Tish came out in 2022, her dad became engaged to Firerose, who is just four years older than Miley.

By August 2023, Miley had unfollowed her dad on Instagram.

Firerose and Billy met in 2010 when she auditioned for a Disney role on the same site that Billy was on while filming Hannah Montana with Miley.

Over the pandemic, he and the Australian singer started collaborating on music together.

The pair tied the knot after one year of dating.
