All Dates on Brian Kelley’s UK Acres Tour Have Been Canceled on the Heels of New Politically-Charged Song

Brian Kelley Performs During RNC, Teases Song 'Make America Great Again'

Brian Kelley, formerly one-half of Florida Georgia Line, announced his UK Acres Tour earlier this month. The short five-stop trek would have taken him to Bristol, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, and London. Now, however, it seems that the tour is no longer taking place.

Ticketmaster currently shows that all of Kelley’s UK shows have been canceled. At the time of writing, Kelley has not announced the cancelation on his social media channels. As a result, there’s no real way of knowing why the tour is no longer happening. However, Holler noted that there may have been an issue with the size of the venues.

For instance, he was set to perform at London’s O2 Kentish Town Forum. The venue holds approximately 2,300 people. Lainey Wilson headlined the venue on her recent UK tour and she’s one of the biggest names in country music today. In the States, Kelley is slated to play small venues, festivals, and benefit shows.

Kelley Drops His New “American Anthem”

At the same time, Kelley recently released his far-right anthem, “Make America Great Again” which announces his support for Donald Trump in the upcoming election and features a laundry list of dog whistle statements.

“I just felt it in my heart, felt it in my gut, that, you know, I’m gonna take a stand, and I’m gonna put this song out,” Kelley told Fox News, which noted Kelley hopes the track becomes an “American anthem.”

“I’m really proud of it. At the end of the day, I’m a concerned real American,” he added.

Brian Kelley on “Kiss My Boots”

When Brian Kelley released “Kiss My Boots” many listeners assumed he wrote the song about Tyler Hubbard, the other half of Florida Georgia Line. During a recent interview with American Songwriter, he talked a little about the song.

“People could make it about anything they want, and that can be good or bad,” Kelley said. “Being vulnerable and letting people know, ‘Hey, I’ve been through a tough time at a point in my life. I’ve struggled in a relationship and dealing with all that.’ Putting that down on paper and to music, to a song and recording it, putting it out to the world, I think that’s a big deal,” he added.
