Barca ‘monitor’ ex-Real Madrid goalkeeper Adan – he played alongside Flick’s assistant coach Westermann

Barcelona monitor Antonio Adan as their potential free-agent signing, according to Toni Juanmarti.

The goalkeeper made 18 appearances alongside Hans-Dieter Flick’s assistant coach Heiko Westermann at Real Betis in 2015/16.

Overall, Adan has made 129 appearances in La Liga for Real Betis, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid combined.

The 37-year-old’s latest club was Sporting Lisbon where he made 156 appearances and conceded 138 goals, keeping 68 clean sheets.
