Barca's potential squad for Girona clash - featuring Gavi & Ansu Fati

In a major boost for Barcelona, midfielder Gavi has returned to training after a 10-month injury layoff.

The 20-year-old tore his anterior cruciate ligament in November and missed the rest of the 2023/24 season, as well as Spain’s Euro 2024 victory.

Gavi joined the main group in training on Thursday and was welcomed back by his teammates.

Ansu Fati is also nearing full fitness and also participated in the day’s activities. Their return is a significant lift for Barcelona, who are still without Frenkie De Jong due to an ankle injury.

Barcelona’s potential squad for the upcoming clash against Girona features Gavi and Fati, as well as other key players like Pedri, Robert Lewandowski, and Raphinha.

However, the team will be without Fermin Lopez, who is expected to miss three weeks with a hamstring injury, and Marc Bernal, who is out for 12 months after undergoing surgery for an ACL injury.

Here is Barcelona’s potential squad for the Girona match:

Goalkeepers: Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Inaki Pena, Ander Astralaga

Defenders: Pau Cubarsi, Alejandro Balde, Inigo Martinez, Jules Kounde, Eric García, Hector Fort, Gerard Martín, Sergi Domínguez

Midfielders: Pedri, Pablo Torre, Marc Casado, Dani Olmo, Gavi

Forwards: Ferran Torres, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Pau Víctor, Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati
