TISH Cyrus has revealed she was not in the best mental state following her split from her ex, Bill Ray.

Miley Cyrus’ mother opened up about her divorce from the Achy Breaky Heart singer on Wednesday’s episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast with her eldest daughter, Brandi, 36.

Rumors have circulated that Miley is feuding with her father, which became more apparent on Sunday when she didn’t mention him in her Grammy Award’s speech.

At one point in the episode, host Alex Cooper brought up the former couple’s roller coaster decades-long romance before they eventually parted ways.

Tish recalled their struggles and noted that they began when Billy Ray, 62, moved to Tennessee for two years during the Covid-19 pandemic while the mom of five stayed in California with their kids.

“I really, during that period, just took a really good hard look at life, my life. Like what was I gonna do because it had really not been in a good place for a long time. And I think I did stay so long out of fear, literal fear of being alone,” the producer confessed.

Brandi chimed in, saying she saw her mother become more comfortable at being alone while living apart from Billy Ray, which Tish admitted was “hugely transformative.”

Tish shared that also during that time, her mother, whom she was very close with, passed away, drawing her into an even more downward spiral.

“It was crazy because also during Covid, my mom passed away…I literally was again alone during that time. I had to go through it alone. And I literally can’t believe I did that,” the 56-year-old said.

“I had one month of an honestly complete psychological breakdown. It was the worst thing, like, honestly. It was not good.”

She remembered at one point even calling her doctor and begging him to “put her into a mental hospital” to help her deal with the losses.

“I could not eat, I could not sleep, I could not stop crying. I literally weighed like 130 [pounds], Tish said of her condition.

“I don’t have my mom, and I don’t have my husband, that has been my husband for 30 years. Like holy crap, like I’m scared.”

Tish then admitted she wished she had walked away from her marriage sooner because it would’ve been better for her youngest child, Noah.

In addition to their daughters, Miley, 30, and Noah, 24, Tish and Billy Ray were the biological parents of a son, Braison, 29.

They also had children from previous relationships – Tish with Brandi and Billy Ray with sons Trace, 34, and Christopher Cody, 31.

MOVING ON

Tish initially filed for divorce from Billy Ray in June 2013, but the pair rekindled their romance shortly after.

However, the reunion was short-lived, and Tish filed twice after that before officially separating from the country star in April 2022.

In April 2023, Tish announced her engagement to Prison Break star Dominic Purcell, 53, after sparking relationship rumors the summer before.

Meanwhile, Billy Ray tied the knot with singer Firerose, 34, in October 2023, nearly a year after popping the question.

BEEF WITH DAD

The family’s divide seemed to put a strain on the kids’ relationships with their parents – mainly Miley and her father.

Miley made it apparent their feud wasn’t over when she failed to mention Billy Ray in her acceptance speech at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.

The singer scored awards for Record Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit single Flowers.

While speaking to the crowd, the Hannah Montana alum thanked a slew of individuals, including her mom, Tish.

Fans noticed Miley’s omittance of her father from her speech and speculated that the pair were still at odds.
