Fans expecting to see Tim McGraw in concert this year will be sadly disappointed to find out he’s canceled the rest of his 2024 tour dates. Keep reading to find out all the details.

Standing Room Only Tour

Tim McGraw released his sixteenth studio album, Standing Room Only, in August 2023. He went on tour in early 2024 to promote the album. His Standing Room Only Tour kicked off in Jacksonville, Florida, in March 2024.

The tour wrapped up in June in San Francisco, California. Carly Pearce opened for some of the tour dates. But Tim McGraw wasn’t done performing for his thousands of fans. He added a handful of concert dates for the second half of the year. He was scheduled to stop in New Mexico on August 24.

Unfortunately, the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque let concertgoers know earlier this week that the concert had been canceled. What happened?

Tim McGraw Cancels Rest Of 2024 Tour After Serious Injury

The casino posted on social media platforms on August 16, that regrettably, the upcoming Tim McGraw show was no longer going on as planned. Their announcement also revealed that the country singer wouldn’t be able to finish out the rest of his schedule 2024 tour dates.

According to his website, he was scheduled to appear at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass in Snowmass, Colorado, on September 1st. He also had a tour stop in Ohio on September 27.

But Tim McGraw will be off the road for the foreseeable future. Why?

What Happened?

The casino’s announcement shed some light on the reason behind the tour cancellation. Tim McGraw was injured at some point during the tour and now requires major surgery.

“In close consultation with his doctors, Tim McGraw will undergo necessary orthopedic surgery on both knees this month due to an injury sustained on tour. Unfortunately, this will prevent him from performing any shows for the remainder of this year.”

But the “Don’t Take The Girl” singer isn’t retiring and plans to be back on stage as soon as possible. “Tim hates to disappoint fans, but he intends to rest and do physical therapy so he can deliver tremendous concerts for many years to come,” the official statement said.

This isn’t the first time the performer was injured during a concert. He fell off the stage at a show in Arizona in 2022. Billboard magazine reported at the time that the singer recovered quickly from that fall and immediately got back on stage to finish the show.
