Speaking to PEOPLE magazine in 2020, Bon Jovi said the secret to their long and successful marriage is that they “really like each other” and “want to hang out together.”

“I’ve always said I’m really good at spotting potential. I have that gift,” Dorothea added.

Brown and Jake exchanged vows in a private ceremony in May 2024. The couple announced their engagement a year earlier.

Despite his young age, Bon Jovi has been a staunch supporter of the couple.

“I don’t know if age matters, as long as you find the right person and grow together,” Bon Jovi shared during an appearance on Andy Cohen’s Radio Andy on Sirius XM in May 2023.

He also shared some advice, saying: “Growing together is smart. I think all my kids have found people they think they can grow together with, and we like them all.”

In March 2025, Brown opened up about becoming a mother when she appeared on the Smartless podcast, saying her parents were young when she was born.

“Ever since I was a little girl, I told my mom, like a doll. I want to be a mom like she was to me,” she said, adding that Jake said they couldn’t start a family until they got married.

“And what I really want is a family. I really want a big family,” she continued.

“I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So that’s definitely in our future, but for me, I don’t see having my own kids, you know, as being any different than adopting,” she said.
