Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are said to have completed their divorce papers, waiting for the right time to file in court and make an announcement to the public.

According to Daily Mail on July 31, the Bennifer couple has been trying to save their marriage for the past few weeks but has been unsuccessful. Friends confirmed that the two intend to separate because they cannot find common ground.

“They finalized their divorce a month ago but are waiting for the right time to make it public. At that time, they will release a joint statement saying how much they love each other and how they fought to keep their relationship together but failed. Honestly, Affleck and Lopez couldn’t compromise after trying to make it work. They accepted the loss of the feelings they had before,” a source said.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez now have their own home after months of separation. The Last Duel actor paid $20.5 million for a five-bedroom mansion in the Pacific Palisade residential area on July 24, Jennifer Lopez’s birthday. This comes just days after the couple put their shared home up for sale for $68 million.

Lopez’s friends said Affleck’s sudden move to buy a house on his wife’s birthday was like “a stab in the heart” to her. Jennifer Lopez also paid $23 million for a four-bedroom penthouse in New York on the same day as him, according to People .

Rumors of Bennifer’s split began in May after the media discovered that the two had not appeared together for a long time. Lopez reportedly spent the summer on the East Coast of the United States, while Affleck lived in a rented apartment near his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, in Los Angeles. The couple did not celebrate the 4th of July together, nor did they celebrate their second wedding anniversary on July 16. Ben Affleck also did not attend his wife’s birthday party.
