The female boxer who participated in the blockbuster “Fast & Furious 7” plays the main role in the film adapted from her autobiography.
Paramount has acquired the rights to Ronda Rousey’s autobiography, My Fight/Your Fight . The book, written by her and her sister, journalist Maria Burns Ortiz, was published in May. It chronicles Rousey’s private life and dark side, from her childhood to her rise to become one of the most famous female boxers in the world today.

In addition to starring, Rousey is also producing the film. “We have about a month to prepare,” she said. “It’s going to be eight to 10 weeks of filming. I’ll go to Thailand or wherever they’re shooting. Then I’ll be back in the ring as normal.” The project is currently in script development. Writer Mark Bomback, who wrote films like Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and The Wolverine , is also in talks to join the team.
This is the first leading role for the female fighter. Previously, Ronda Rousey has played supporting roles in many films including Fast & Furious 7 , The Expendables 3 and the hit TV series – Entourage .

Rousey was born in 1987 in California, USA. Her parents said that when she was born, the umbilical cord was tightly wrapped around her neck and her skin was pale. Ronda started to talk at the age of four. When she was eight, Ronda’s father committed suicide in the garage to relieve back pain from a traffic accident. This was a big shock in Ronda Rousey’s life.
Ronda Rousey is currently the “undefeated” MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) world with 11 wins in her career (two wins by knockout). On August 2, she knocked out her opponent in just 34 seconds in a match in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
In 2014, she received the “Female Athlete of the Year” award from ESPN . Previously, she won a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and a gold medal at the 2004 World Junior Championships in Judo. Ronda Rousey is also considered the beauty queen of the martial arts world.
