Female boxer Ronda: ‘I can knock out Mayweather’

Ronda Rousey, dubbed “The Most Dangerous Woman in the World”, claims she is strong enough to defeat the famous American boxer if the two compete in the UFC.

Ronda Rousey, a famous female athlete of mixed martial arts (MMA) in the UFC, recently won the 2015 ESPN Fighter of the Year award . In 2014, Mayweather was awarded this title.

She is currently the “Undefeated” of the professional women’s mixed martial arts world with 12 wins in her career (three by knockout). Before moving to freestyle martial arts on the UFC stage since 2010, Ronda Rousey was also the first American fighter to win an Olympic medal in judo at Beijing 2008 (bronze), since this  sport was introduced in 1992.

Ronda and Mayweather are the best fighters in the world in their weight classes and  sports.
The 28-year-old American currently competes in the bantamweight division, for athletes weighing between 52.2 kg and 53.5 kg. Meanwhile, Floyd Mayweather is the most famous boxer in the world today, with a record of 48 wins in his professional career. The 38-year-old male boxer is currently the owner of the world welterweight championship belts, for athletes weighing between 63.5 kg and under 67 kg.

In terms of fierceness and fighting, it is clear that the UFC is much better than the boxing ring. The UFC is not as constrained by moves as professional boxing. Ronda Rousey defines a mixed martial arts match as a fight without any rules.

This is also the basis for Ronda to believe that she can defeat the “Undefeated” of boxing if they have the chance to compete in the UFC – where blood and bruises appear much more than in the boxing ring.

Recently, after ESPN voted and awarded her the title of Best Fighter of the Year in July, the 28-year-old female boxer and her compatriot continuously fought back and forth.

A fan recently asked Ronda on Reddit if she could beat Mayweather in a fight that allowed anything to happen. Ronda responded that she could beat “anyone on the planet,” including Mayweather.

Ronda (in black) is confident that she is unrivaled in mixed martial arts.
“Floyd is one of the best boxers of all time. He would definitely beat me in a boxing match. Unfortunately, I don’t get to fight like that. I fight for my life, I fight for my living. In a fight without any rules, I believe I can beat anyone in the world . Boxing is a sweet sport science, with many strict rules that I respect very much, and I study every day to improve my fighting style. But here you talk about a fight without any rules, that’s my honest answer,” Ronda Rousey confidently declared.

Ronda Rousey is an American martial arts superstar, and has recently become more famous on a global scale. She has 1.6 million followers on Twitter. Immediately after her recent win over the weekend, about a million people mentioned her achievement on Twitter.

She beat Mayweather in ESPN ‘s 2015 Fighter of the Year poll , and previously finished second to him in 2014. But when asked about Ronda Rousey last year, Mayweather replied: “I have no idea who she is.” Whether by accident or on purpose, the 38-year-old also mistook Ronda’s gender.

So after receiving the title from ESPN last month, the female boxer fired back: “I wonder how Mayweather feels about being defeated by a woman in this vote. I would love to see him, right now, pretending not to know who I am.”

Recently, when referring to Ronda Rousey’s comments aimed at him, it was Mayweather’s turn to bring up money to compare. “I have never seen any other MMA fighter, or boxer in the world, who can earn over $300 million in just 36 minutes like me. When she can do that, call me,” the 38-year-old boxer said in his usual arrogant manner.

In boxing alone, Mayweather does not consider anyone better than him, both past and present. He recently made a list of the world’s top five boxers of all time, and placed himself in the greatest position, while the legendary Muhammad Ali was only in fifth place, and in between were other legends including Roberto Duran, Pernell Whitaker, Julio Cesar Chavez.

He rates himself as the greatest of all time: “He, Mayweather, has beaten more world champions than any other boxer, he has done it in a shorter period of time than other legends, and he has done it in fewer fights.”
