Steve Harvey jokes ‘I’m going to quit’ and is left stunned after Family Feud gives ‘ignorant’ answer

A player named Mo was up third, and his answer left Steve, 66, nearly speechless.

“To brush their teeth, Steve,” he said confidently.

The show’s host, who had already expressed confusion over the puzzle, paused and stepped back as he looked toward the audience in disbelief.

“Let me explain something to you, OK?” he said.

“If this is up here, I’m gonna quit.”

The entire family had a laugh before Steve took one more dig.

“I like the way you think … ’cause I guess you just said, ‘Hey, look, are we doing ignorant stuff? Watch this. Take your ear wax and brush your teeth, Steve.'” the host joked.

Mo’s response was the family’s second strike.

Kindell family member Rolanda guessed after Mo, suggesting, “Tape.”

The answer was not on the board, however, and the puzzle went to the Thomas family.

This isn’t the first time Steve has struggled to conceal his disbelief on Family Feud after a bad answer.

SHUT IT DOWN

Earlier this week, the comic questioned a contestant after he gave a coarse answer about his wife during the game.

Family Feud shared a clip from the awkward moment on the show’s official Instagram Stories.

In it, Steve was shown speaking with a player named Lee.

“Name something a husband lives in fear that his wife will ask him for,” the game show presenter said.

“Man, she can’t have my phone,” Lee responded.

Lee’s family applauded, hoping his answer would appear on the board.

He continued speaking, however, and not everyone agreed with what he had to say.

“I’m not worried. I’m not worried, but–,” he said.

Steve paused for a moment before asking, “You said what?” to which Lee shut down, answering back, “Never mind.”

Despite the interaction, Lee’s answer was on the board.

In fact, it was the number five answer.

The word “Busted” appeared on the screen over Lee’s face before the video cut off.

COME AGAIN?

Steve frequently jokes with Family Feud contestants, especially after particularly wild answers.

In another recent episode, The Steve Harvey Show host’s eyebrows were raised once again – this time by a female player.

“Name something you wish lasted longer than it does,” he asked.

Contestant Stephanie hit her buzzer, replying, “Sex, Steve.”

The game show host mocked Stefanie over her intimate confession, mumbling, “You’ll have to take that up with your guy.”

Stephanie laughed at Steve’s reaction before it was revealed whether her answer was on the board.

“Sexy Session” appeared on the screen at the top answer, giving Stephanie and her family control of the game.

Steve is no stranger to NSFW responses on Family Feud.

He previously found himself in a similar situation, warning a contestant to be cautious with his answers after giving one particularly scandalous reply.

Steve has been hosting Family Feud since September 2010.
